| PortLavacaInfo.com has been launched to repeat the tremendous success of its predecessor, PortOConnor.com. Before and after the official unveiling of the new site to the Port Lavaca-Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture, many area merchants signed on to support the site by selecting key advertising positions.
"The response has been very strong," commented chamber president Jan Regan. "We really think this site's going to draw much more interest to our community from vacationers, expanding businesses and relocating families."
As with the Port O'Connor Web site, the partnership between the Port Lavaca Chamber and Novusweb means a coordinated effort is made to involve local business and community leaders directly into the site development and marketing.
PortLavacaInfo.com was built using Novusweb's NovusPortal™ system. NovusPortal sites are customized to reflect the values and branding of the community, but share similar internal programming components. This allows us to launch new community-focused sites very rapidly. NovusPortal sites have such features as calendars, classified ads, searchable business directories, weather information, and area features. All sites are easily maintained by chamber personnel or volunteers.
We're very pleased to be working with the chamber, and we're looking forward to working with other chambers in the near future. In fact, we're anticipating announcing several new launches for communities not only in Texas, but in our own backyard here in California.
