Adding Video to Your Website

by | Aug 3, 2011 | Insights | 0 comments

A recent blog posted on the Entrepreneur website questioned if your business was ready for video. The article sited survey results conducted by Pew Internet & American Life Project which found that 71% of American’s use online video sites like YouTube and Vimeo.

With the accessibility of broadband and smartphones, more consumers have the means to view video content.

If you are waiting until you have a professional video set up, don’t. What customers really want is information. If you can demonstrate a product or give a face to your company, that provides an added benefit to your site. We’ve used video testimonials on our site, which we feel adds a level of trust with potential clients.

One of our clients, Wash-Safe Industries, successfully uses demonstration videos for their environmentally-friendly cleaning products. When you order a product online, it’s reassuring to see that the product actually works as described!

You shouldn’t feel intimidated by video. A simple Flip Video can do the job.

Start shooting, and connecting with your online visitors in a more personal way.
